At the parade service on the 13th November 2022 the 2nd High Wycombe BB & GA are proud that ‘one of our young ladies’ was presented with The Presidents Badge.

2nd High Wycombe BB & GA was formed in 2010 and was delighted to present the Queens Badge to one of its members.  This is the first time that any member of the company has received this award.

Sabrina Hanif joined the company shortly after it started and has remained a loyal member ever since, starting in Juniors and now finishing her time in company section as she prepares to head off to University.

On Sunday 14th July we welcomed Alan Pannell of 1st Hillingdon/West London Battalion as guest at our Parade service to make this very special presentation.

On Thursday evenings we are very busy with an average of over 50 boys and girls aged from 5 to 18. We are grateful for the leaders who give their time week by week. We cover a wide range of activities from first aid to cooking and more, all working towards badges in each of the sections. We also have each week in every section a time of devotions. In the last year we have had a company camp in tents and a weekend away in London, whilst our older members aged 11+ joined the Battalion camp in tents with other companies from the County.

Our London weekend was very special: to be able to see the poppies at the Tower of London from our vantage point on the top of Tower Bridge! We are now planning next year’s camps and our autumn weekend away, as well as a busy programme of weekly and other events.

If adults have a specific interest they would like to share with our youngsters, please do get in touch. If there are children who would like to join, please also contact Calvin Hanks via the church administrator.

We meet on Thursday evenings:

Anchors (5th birthday to end of school year 3)  6.00-7.30pm

Juniors (school years 4 to 6)  6.00-7.30pm

Company (school years 7+) 7.45-9.15pm
